Studio 436 is a 500 sq. ft. open space with TONS of natural light. Twelve ft. ceilings and 3 huge windows fill the entire space with light, no matter what the weather.

Your studio rental includes:

  • All furniture in the studio. Right now that includes a blue tufted Victorian oversized chair with armrests, a muted blue tufted lounge chair, a tan ottoman, a wooden stool, a wooden step stool, a vintage bed (bring your own sheets), and a deep blue tufted couch. This page is always updated with the latest furniture. You can feel free to move the furniture as you wish around the studio.

  • Decorative 5 ft. gold mirror

  • Private dressing area with mirror, hooks, and bench

  • Hair and makeup station with 2 outlets and a multi-prong extension chord.

  • Fan

  • Bluetooth speaker

  • Clothing steamer

  • White v-flat and black v-flat

  • Central air conditioning

  • Mini Fridge

  • Microwave

  • Charcoal wall, white wall, window wall, and gray wall

  • Shared bathroom

  • Convenient free side-street parking or metered front street parking right outside of the studio or metered lot parking across the street. There is always plenty of parking.

PRICing

Photography Studio Rental

  • $50/hour with a 2-hour minimum.

  • Fifteen minute grace period on the front and backend of rental period.

  • No weekend markup!

  • There is a $100 deposit required to rent Studio 436. If there is no damage and all rules have been followed, renters will receive their full refund within 72 hours after the end of their rental period. Please see below for more information.

Shootout Rental

  • Educational Shootout: $1,200. Learn all of Elizabeth’s posing secrets and how to nail her most favorite poses.

    • Full use of entire studio space and all of its inclusions listed above for 4 hours for up to 5 people.

    • Full posing educational instruction by Elizabeth Craig.

    • One model.

    • Wardrobe.

    • Rights to use all imagery for your own portfolio and social media.

    • Add extra models for $150/model (up to 3 models total).

    • Add hair and makeup services for model(s) for $200/model.

    • Add extra hours for $225/hr.

  • Self-Instructed Shootout: $450. Use the studio for your own shootout to up your game or pad your portfolio.

    • Full use of entire studio space and all of its inclusions listed above for 3 hours for up to 5 photographers and 2 models.

    • Models and wardrobe supplied by you.

Event Studio Rental

  • Starting at $375. Please inquire for more details. Maximum capacity: 30.

STUDIO 436 DEPOSIT FEE INFORMATION

Unfortunately, due to ongoing damages to Studio 436, and renters not completing the required tasks necessary to keep the studio neat and clean, I now require a $100 deposit.

Listen, damage happens. The good news is that every ounce of damage that has been caused so far was either fixed by me, or my super handy-dandy brother. Unfortunately, none of the damage that was so easily fixable was even reported to me, which is really crappy. If you are honest with me, I will 1,000,000,000% work my hardest to fix whatever damage you have caused at no cost to you, and honestly that’s going to be 99% of the time since I’m pretty handy and my brother can just about fix anything. If you’re dishonest and I find out (which I now will because I have had to go back to inspecting the studio after EVERY rental), I will 1,000,000,000% keep your full deposit and not feel one bit bad about it.

  • If you damage something and the fix costs less than $100, you will receive the difference in a refund back to you (or all of it if it can be fixed by me or my brother). If the damage you cause is more than $100, I will bill you and yes, yessirree, yeppers, you got it…I expect to be paid. Luckily, I’ve been in business long enough that I have a wonderful lawyer that is happy to help me with this. Unfortunately, if I have to engage her services, you will not only owe the balance of the cost of damages but you will also owe her fees as well. No. Joke.

  • There is a “Studio 436 End of Rental Checklist” hanging in the studio near the makeup/hair station. If any task on that list is not completed before you leave, a fee of $25 PER ITEM will come out of your deposit. The 2 main tasks that no one seems to want to do is sweep the floor at the end of a rental or take the trash bag with them, if they’ve used the trash can. If it’s worth $25 per task for me to do those things for you, I’ll happily take your money!

If you think I haven’t accidentally caused damage in someone else’s studio, you’d be wrong. The difference is that I immediately stopped my shoot, took a photo of the damage, texted the photo right then to the studio owner, and ordered a replacement for what I broke before I even picked my camera back up to continue my shoot. PLEASE do the right thing and respect my studio and its contents. This will allow me to continue making Studio 436 available to the public, which is what I really want. So please help me.
